The Pasih Perahu area in Banjar Segara, Kuta, was used as a minor port in the 13th century. It is located in the T-junction of Jalan Kartika Plaza and Jalan Wana Segara. To honour their ancestors who landed there, a miniature boat that encloses a water source was built in the temple Pura Pesanggrahan.

In memory and as a prayer to the victims of the Bali Bombings in 2002 and 2005, the Bali Bombing Monument was constructed as a symbol of human sympathy. The monument, which is a landmark of Kuta, is engraved with the names of the 202 victims. It is located in Jalan Legian, right across the street from the site of the bombings.
